Buddy Walk for Down’s Syndrome
The Buddy Walk® was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Downs syndrome. The walk will be held on Sunday August 27, 2017 on the grounds of the Redlin Art Center.
Registration is from 12p.m. to 1 p.m. At 1p.m., the Down's Syndrome Creed is read. A one mile walk follows. Lunch will be served starting at 12 p.m. The event will include a silent auction, 50/50 frisbee toss, fingerprinting, music therapy demonstrations, speech therapy demonstrations, and crafts. Bounce houses will be back this year by popular demand. We will also have a baseball toss courtesy of the WPD. This is a free event. Bring the family out and enjoy this awesome event while supporting your buddy.
