The Redlin Art Center is proud to annouce the arrival of “Old Logger’s Trail”. This painting was sold by Terry Redlin in 1978 before his son, Charles, convinced him to stop selling his original art.
Today, we are pleased to announce that it has come home to the Redlin Art Center for all to enjoy – and we are truly grateful to the family Dick Warden for this incredible gift!
Richard (Dick) Warden purchased “Old Logger’s Trail” in 1978. Dick’s daughters said that their dad loved the painting. They said, “It spoke to his
love of nature and the many years he spent hunting.”
Dick Warden passed away in May 2024. His daughters decided that their father’s special painting, “Old Logger’s Trail”, should be returned to the Redlin Art Center for all to enjoy. The Redlin Art Center was able to purchase the painting from the Warden family in November 2024.
“We are truly grateful to Dick Warden for taking care of “Old Logger’s Trail” for so many years. The painting is still in its original frame and is in perfect
condition. We are thankful to the Warden family for allowing us to add this beautiful painting to our collection”, said Julie Ranum, Executive Director.
Note: The addition of “Old Logger’s Trail” brings the total collection to 170 original paintings, including 31 that have returned “home” from the hands of private collectors since the Redlin Art Center’s opening in 1997. There are still 44 original Redlin paintings in the hands of private collectors.
Admission to the Redlin Art Center is free.
