In 1982, Terry Redlin published “Spring Mapling”. He was intrigued by the design of a “1912 sugar shack” he discovered in the woods near his home in Minnesota; and was inspired by several maplers who shared their special love of the woods in April. It was his hope that through this painting we would be able to mentally walk the paths and enjoy the beauty of spring mapling time.
